Our Story
It was 2002 when Mike and Beth purchased their first Labrador Retriever. He was a black male, with a huge block head, and full of love and energy.
They would name him Kampmeier’s “Harley” Davidson and Harley became a member of their family, watching over their six daughters, attending their sporting events (chasing balls at softball and field hockey games – making coaches crazy), and traveling with the family to the shore with unsurpassed excitement – jumping out of the car upon arrival at their beach house and booking straight to the Delaware Bay.
Mike and Beth trained Harley in obedience (although they didn’t know it at the time) and retrieving, including water retrieves, and there hasn’t to date been a dog that could match his stamina and accuracy in the retrieve.
Harley was part of the Kampmeier family for eleven wonderful years, crossing the Rainbow Bridge in September of 2013. While he is gone, you can still see his lasting impression he left with the Kampmeier Family in the way they train and raise their dogs.
